Kerry A. Trapp, Attorney

Kerry is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Minnesota, and is a member of the bar of the state of Wisconsin. Her experience includes representation of clients in all phases of litigation: including negotiations, motions, mediations, arbitrations, trials and appeals. Kerry also has experience in business law as well, assisting clients with entity formation, contracts, leasing, and the purchase and sale of businesses and assets. Her practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, construction litigation, real estate litigation and related matters.

In addition to assisting clients with their business disputes, she has an active intellectual property practice, assisting companies with all aspects of protecting their intellectual property assets, including filing and maintaining trademarks and copyrights.

Prior to joining the firm, Kerry gained experience in the corporate law department at Moss & Barnett, P.A. and spent over six years as a litigator and business attorney at Leonard, O’Brien, Spencer, Gale & Sayre, Ltd.

Kerry received her bachelor’s degree from American University in Washington, DC and earned her JD, cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School where she was a member of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Review.  She is a member of the Minnesota State and Hennepin County Bar Associations.  Kerry is also an active member of the Minnesota Women Lawyers.

In her spare time, Kerry enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and their soon to be 2-year old son, Evan.  She is also an avid Red Sox fan having spent her childhood in Massachusetts and enjoys playing golf whenever she can.  She is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association.
